Women Team Up calls for walkout show to Brett Kavanaugh accusations

That’s what the Time’s Up movement against systemic sexual harassment and abuse has called for on

Monday, following multiple accusations aimed at Supreme Court candidate Brett Kavanaugh.

On Sunday night, the activist cluster posted the rallying cry on Twitter, calling on folks to join forces with women’s teams across the U.S. to simply “walk out (of your home, workplace, classroom, where you are).”

Set for Monday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT, the walkout is pitched as a moment of solidarity with Christine Blasey Ford, a professor at California’s Palo Alto University, who recently suspect Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

The post came shortly once The New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer revealed a replacement allegation of sexual misconduct against Brett Kavanaugh on Sunday, now from Deborah Ramirez, who attended Yale with him.

In response, a vigil is planned for twelve noon at vanderbilt University. The show of solidarity in Nashville can happen outside vanderbilt Divinity faculty. If it rains, it’ll take place in Benton Chapel.

As for Ramirez, Calif. sen. Dianne Feinstein has requested Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation proceedings be delayed, and Iowa Republican sen. Chuck Grassley asked that the new allegation be investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Lawyer michael Avenatti, who represents Stormy Daniels in her current court battle with President Donald Trump, says he also represents a client with “credible info relating to Kavanaugh” and a friend of his at Georgetown preparatory school who was reportedly within the room where the alleged assault on Christine Blasey Ford took place.
