Donald Trump attacks Kavanaugh’s accuser in a string of despicable on twitter

President Trump deviated from his antecedently measured comments regarding the woman who has accused his Supreme Court choose Brett Kavanaugh of sex offense once he questioned Thursday why the girl Didn’t call the police thirty six years past, once she says the incident happened.

“Why did not someone decision the Federal Bureau of Investigation thirty six years ago? I mean you could conjointly say when did this all happen, what’s going on? to require a person like this and besmirch — currently with that being said, let her have her say and let’s examine how it all works out,” Donald Trump said throughout an interview on Fox News simply before his rally in las vegas.

“I suppose it is a very sad scenario. he is an outstanding person,” Trump added.

Professor Christine Blasey Ford has accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a celebration outside Washington after they were in highschool. He denies it happened.

The suggestion that Christine Blasey  is lying concerning the attack is bad enough, however this is an new statement for a president to create — especially coming back from a person who has return under similar scrutiny for his own behavior.

Besides the infamous Access Hollywood tape, Donald  Trump has been accused by numerous ladies of sexual harassment and assault.

But maybe most galling is that the means Donald  Trump’s attack suggests that simply because ladies do not report rapes or assaults, they must not be true. In fact, as vox noted in the week, concerning two-thirds of rape cases and only one-third of battery or assault cases are rumored to police, according to The Rape, Abuse & incest National Network .

And during a vast majority of the cases within which rapes and assaults are rumored, the perpetrator never sees jail time.

Donald Trump asked the same question last night at a rally in Vegas: “Why didn’t someone decision the Federal Bureau of Investigation thirty six years ago?” the answer is on the federal government’s own websites. The United States Department of Health and Human Services, maybe, points victims to their native authorities via 911 or the National sex crime Hotline at 800-656-4673. The Federal Bureau of Investigation isn’t the correct agency to decision.

The whole premise of Donald  Trump’s morning tirade against somebody who says she was sexually assaulted fails underneath the misguided belief that every one sex crime victims call the police. In fact, nearly simple fraction of people who ar raped or sexually assaulted do not attend police at all.

And the president’s attack on Christine Blasey Friday is an example of why several victims do not share their stories. Blasey’s nighest friends have said she was hesitant to come forward with her story as a result of she feared a swath of attacks, and she’s getting exactly that. Pundits like reporter have piled on, blaming all sex crime victims who do not attend law enforcement.

Christine Blasey , a palo alto University psychology professor, told The Washington Post that she was scared Brett Kavanaugh “might inadvertently kill” her once he forced himself on her and groped her while they were highschool students in the Eighties.
