Abbey film shooting in churchyard with star Dame Maggie Smith and Michelle Dockery

While earlier this year we tend to all learned the marvellous news that Downton Abbey was being created into a movie.
It honestly created our year (well, not quite, however we’re pretty excited.)

Anyway, we’ve reasonably been waiting peaceful since the announcement, urgently needing a lot of information.
And currently we finally have a release date for the feature film!

The Downton Abbey film is because of hit Irish cinemas on thirteenth September 2019.
SO far away, however it’s one thing to appear forward to!

We have so many familiar faces signed up for the film, as well as Maggie Smith as dowager countess, Michelle Dockery as girl mary Crawley and Hugh Bonneville as Robert Crawley, the peer of Grantham.

Focus options said the massive screen version of the ITV period drama can open internationally on September 13 next year.
As well as Dame Maggie, alternative cast were seen cinematography in a very churchyard.

The film can star the first principal cast – as well as Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Matthew Goode, Penelope Wilton and Dame Maggie Smith.

New cast members embrace Imelda Staunton and Geraldine James.
Focus chairman Peter Kujawski said: “Since the series terminated, fans of Downton have long been watching for the Crawley family’s next chapter.

The show’s creator, Julian Fellowes, has written the film’s playscript, and he will be co-producer.
The Downton Abbey picture is made by Carnival Films, and can be released by Focus options and Universal pictures International.
